Caciano Family

We were informally established in 1999 around the kitchen table at home.  Our first Chairman, Joe Rojas Caciano, was known to the local community simply as Joe the Barber.

Upon immigrating to California in the early 1900’s, Joe’s father Ignacio served in the U.S. Army during WWI.  Upon his return from the war, he settled in the Midwest and became a smelter worker dedicating his life to ensuring that his sons had the opportunity to receive a Christian education.  Raised in a family of modest means, Joe lost his father at an early age.  Ignacio left a lasting impression on both of his sons impressing upon them the importance of not only receiving a Christian education, but also the importance of serving others and especially supporting those that serve in these vital ministries.  This legacy has been passed down through Joe the Barber to his children.

In May 2000, recognizing the eternal value of this family legacy, the Caciano Family Charitable & Educational Foundation was formally incorporated in the State of Missouri.  The Caciano Family Foundation is a private charitable foundation recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization.  The purpose of the Caciano Family Foundation is to serve as a means of deliberately passing this legacy from one generation to the next so that we and future generations may be deliberate in our helping others in need.  Through our mission to provide support and volunteer efforts, it is our hope that many, including other charitable and educational organizations will be equipped to provide a positive impact on the lives of many.
